Download ImageSwiss Chard Lentil Soup (3adas B’hamoud) Ingredients2 bunches swiss chard (washed & chopped)3/4 cup lentils1 large onion2 garlic cloves minced4 potatoes diced2 lemons juiced1 1/2 tsp salt1 tsp 7 spice1/2 tsp cumin1/2 tsp black pepper3 tbsp olive oil10 cups waterMethodWash lentils well, drain & add to a large pot. Add water and cook lentils on med/high heat until they begin to soften (about 15 minutes).In a separate frying pan, heat 3 tbsp of olive oil. Add onions and garlic and sauté until translucent.After lentils have cooked, add chopped swiss chard, potatoes & spices’. Reduce heat to med/low, cover the pot and cook for another 10 minutes.Add onions & lemon juice, stir and cook for an additional 5 minutes on low.
