Download ImageWatch Video Chickpea And Spinach Curry (Palak Chana) Ingredients3 tbsp oil1 large onion finely chopped1/2 tsp turmeric powder1 tsp cumin1 tbsp coriander powder1 tsp chili powder1 cups tomato chopped2 cups cooked chickpeas (400g)2 cup frozen chopped spinach (400 g)1/2 – 1 tsp salt1 tsp garam masala (optional)MethodAdd 1 tbsp of oil in a pan and add cumin in it. When they start spluttering add chick peas, curry powder, chili powder and some salt in pan and cook until chickpeas are all coated in spices and all the water is dry.In the same pan add 1 chopped onion and rest of the oil. Add spinach and let the water reduce.I blended spinach just a personal preference but if you like it chunky don’t grind.Add tomato purée in spinach and cook until tomatoes are cooked.Add chickpeas and in spinach and cover it on low flame for 8-10 minutes.Optional TerkaIn a separate pan take some oil and heat it add some garlic in it. Cook until garlic is golden and put it on top of spinach before serving.I’m serving spinach with soyabean rice, daal papar, strawberry Raita, vege shami kabab.
