Download ImageWatch Video Beef Stir Fry IngredientsFor the marinade:1 kg sliced beef (I recommend eye fillet)2 tablespoon soy2 tablespoon oyster sauce1 tsp white pepper1 tsp bi carb soda2 teaspoon corn flourFor the stir fry:2 tablespoons oil (I recommend peanut oil)1 red onion, sliced thinly1 heaped tablespoon ginger garlic paste or fresh3cm piece lemongrass, finely chopped1⁄4 bunch Spring onion2 bunches Chinese broccoli, sliced (thick stems removed or cooked at the beginning with onions)Sauce Ingredients1⁄4cup soy sauce1⁄4 cup water21⁄2 tablespoons kecap manis2 tablespoons oyster sauceTo GarnishSpring onion, finely sliced.Crispy ShallotsRed chilliCoriander leaves a must!StepsTo make the marinade:In a bowl combine all the marinade ingredients, mix and set aside. Minimum 1 hour.To make the stir fry:In a wok over medium-high heat add half the oil, onion and broccoli stems.Stirfry for 2-3 minutes or until the onion is soft, add ginger garlic paste, lemongrass, spring onion and stir fry for 2 mins and remove from wok and set aside.Add the remaining oil and stir fry the beef in batches over high heat until browned.Return the onion mixture to the wok along with the beef and stir fry for a minute.Add the sauce ingredients and broccoli leaves and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.Remove from the heat and serve with some Jasmine Rice, garnish with the spring onion, chilli, shallots and coriander.
