Za’atar Smashed Potatoes W Tahini Sauce Ingredients 1 kg small potatoes (each slightly smaller than a tennis ball)1 tsp salt (divided)3 tbsp olive oil1 tbsp za’atar spice mix1/4 tsp ground black pepper1/4 tsp pulbiber or chilli flakes (optional)2 tbsp tahiniwater (for boiling potatoes) Steps Preheat oven to 200 deg C & line a baking tray with parchment paper.Scrub potatoes clean, wash thoroughly & place in a pot filled with cold water till all spuds are fully submerged.Cover, heat over medium high & bring to a boil.Once it starts to boil, add 1/2 tsp salt, stir & simmer for 15 mins till potatoes are tender enough to be gently poked by a knife or fork.Remove potatoes with a slotted spoon, place on a chopping board & use a heavy bottomed pan or glass jar to smash the potatoes.Transfer smashed potatoes onto lined baking tray, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle za’atar, remaining salt, pepper & chilli flakes.Bake for 20-30 mins till the sides start to turn brown & crispy or potatoes are cooked to desired doneness.Transfer baked potatoes into serving plate/bowl & drizzle with tahini.
