Thinly coat the tofu cubes with the mixed cornstarch coating2. Heat up a non stick pan with medium high heat, and add oil3. Pan fry the the tofu until golden brown on all sides4. Take the fried tofu cubes and place them on a plate and set aside5. Lower the heat, add in shallots into the same pan and stir fry until caramelized and the fragrance of the shallots releases6.
