Roasted chicken is a classic dish that involves cooking a whole chicken in the oven, seasoned with various herbs and spices. To make roasted chicken, the chicken is usually first cleaned, rinsed, and patted dry with paper towels. Then, a mixture of herbs, spices, and oil is rubbed onto the chicken, both on the skin and under the skin.

The chicken is then placed in a roasting pan and roasted in the oven at a high temperature, usually around 425°F (220°C). The cooking time will depend on the size of the chicken, but typically takes around 1 to 1 1/2 hours. To ensure that the chicken is fully cooked, a meat thermometer can be inserted into the thickest part of the chicken, and the internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (75°C).

Roasted chicken can be served with a variety of side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice. The pan drippings can also be used to make a flavorful gravy or sauce to serve alongside the chicken.
