Watch Video Chanay Ki Daal Gosht Ingredients 2 cups channa daal500 gram mutton or beef1/2 cup fried onion2 Tbsp yogurt1-2 tomatoes sliced1 tbsp ginger paste8-9 garlic cloves2-3 green chili1/2 cup clarified butter1 inch piece of cinnamon2 black cardamomSalt to taste1 tbsp red chilli powder1 tsp turmeric1 tbsp coarsely grind coriander1 tsp coarsely grind cumin1 tsp garam masala10-12 peppercorns2 tbsp fenugreek leaves Method Soak channa daal for atleast 2 hrs before cooking. Boil it with just water until it’s tender but not mushy at all.Combine meat, water, salt, turmeric, onion and ginger paste, garlic and tomatoes in a pressure cooker and cook it until the meat is tender.remove the lid of pressure cooker and coriander powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder, cardamom, peppercorn, cinnamon stick and clarified butter and cook until very less water left.Add yogurt and cook until the oil separates. Add fenugreek leaves by crushing them between your palms.Now add cooked chana daal with the water that is left in the lentil.Cook it together until you achieve desired thickness. If you want you can mash the Chana daal completely. I like it with the texture.Sprinkle Garam masala on top.Serve it with sliced onion, green chili and lemon wedge. Source : www.instagram.com
