Download ImageWatch Video Ingredients1kg Minute Steak10 Garlic cloves (crushed)1 onion diced3-4 lemons (juiced)1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon1 teaspoon of mixed/Lebanese spice1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper2 tablespoon of oil (for cooking)1.5-2 cups of waterSalt to tasteStepsMix the spices and cover each steak by rubbing thoroughly, sprinkle with salt as needed.In a wide pan pot or deep pan, add oil and allow it to heat.Add the steaks and sear on each side just to allow enough colour for it to brown.Remove and put on a plate aside.Add remaining oil to same pan, and fry onions to gain colour, then add the crushed garlic and allow to cook for a minute or so.Return the steaks with their juices to the pan and add water to just cover the steaks.Allow to simmer for a couple of minutes before placing a lid on the pan and putting the heat to low to cook for at least 1 hour.After the hour, add the lemon juices to the pan and cover again and allow to cook for another 30- 45 minutes or till steak is tender and very soft.If the steak is not falling off the fork, it needs more cooking!When ready, turn off heat and remove the steak with the delicious consommé.Serve with a salad, roast veggies or mash.
