Download ImageBean Stew & Rice (Fasoulya W Rizz) Ingredients2 cups Romano beans (rinse and soak beans in water overnight)2 medium onions, diced1/4 cup olive oil2 garlic cloves, crushed4 tbsp tomato paste1 tsp 7 spice1 tsp salt more to taste1/2 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp cumin1/2 tsp ground cinnamon5 cups water1 lb beef stew chunks2 cinnamon sticks 2 bay leaves1 small onion cut in quarter***(Add all these ingredients in a pot and boil on high heat for 8-10 minutes. Remove top layer of foam. After 10 minutes lower the heat to medium and cook for an additional 20 minutes)MethodCover beans completely with water and boil for about 20 minutes on med heat. Empty their water in a colander and rinse well.In a large pot add olive oil and onions. Sauté until translucent then add garlic and cook for a few more minutes.Add cooked beef chunks & spices, mix well. Add beans, tomato paste & water.Bring to a boil then lower heat to med/low and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve with vermicelli rice.We like ours thick.
