Watch Video Ingredients 300g granny smith apples diced into small cubes( weighed after peeling and coring)1/2 cup sugar1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 teaspoon lemon juice1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract2 teaspoons corn starch1/2 cup water400g puff pastry sheet.1 egg for eggwash Steps Mix the apples, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Bring to a low heat. Cover and cook until the apples are soft.Mix the water and cornstarch.Add to the softened apples.Cook until saucy but very thick.Remove from the heat and cool down completely.Cut the puff pastry sheet into 6 rectangle pieces.Take each piece and further cut into half to form 2 squares.On one square, brush eggwash. Add the apple filling in the center.Top with the other square ( i cut it into a latice design).Brush the tops with milk.Sprinkle a generous amount of sugar on top.Bake at 180c until done.
