Wings and Rub:2 1⁄2 lbs chicken wings1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper1/2 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp onion powder1⁄2 tsp smoked paprika1 tsp dried parsley flakes1⁄2 tsp red pepper flakes

Sweet And Sour Orange Sauce

1 cup orange juiceRind of one orange grated4 garlic cloves, minced3 Tbs brown sugar1⁄4 cup honey1⁄2 tsp ground ginger powder1 tsp siracha1⁄4 tsp cayenne pepper1 Tbs cornstarch3 Tbs water

green onionssesame seedsfresh cilantro leaveshot peppers

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees2. Rinse and pay dry wings3. Mix all of the spices together for the rub and rub evenly over wings.4. Place in large cast iron pan or on a rack placed over a large cookie sheet, lined with parchment.5. Bake wings on top shelf in oven for 25 minutes or until crispy.6. While wings are cooking, place all ingredients for the orange sauce (except the water and cornstarch) into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 3 minutes.7. Place cornstarch and water in a small cup, whisk well so there are no lumps. Pour into the simmering sauce on the stove and stir about 30 seconds until the sauce has thickened.8. Remove wings when done, Pour sauce over wings, return pan to oven, cook 5-6 minutes until browned and bubbly.9. Top with sesame seeds, or green onions or cilantro. We also used edible nasturtium flowers from the garden.
