Spaghetti Bolognese Ingredients 1 tbsp olive oil500 g ground beef2 cups onions (finely chopped)2 cloves garlic (minced)1 cup carrot (finely chopped)1 cup celery (finely chopped)1 tsp dried rosemary1 tsp dried oregano2 bay leaves2 cans tomatoes2 tbsp tomato paste2 red chillies (deseeded & finely chopped)1 cup beef stock1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce2 tbsp basil leaves (picked & chopped, leave some whole for garnish)1 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground black pepper1 cup parmesan (grated, plus more for garnish)400g spaghetti (or other pasta of choice) Steps Heat oil in a large pan on a medium high.Add beef & cook (stirring frequently) for 3-5 mins until meat is browned all over.Reduce heat & add onions, carrots, celery, garlic, rosemary, oregano & bay leaves, fry for 10 mins (stirring often until vegetables soften)Add both types of tomatoes, chillies, beef stock & Worcestershire sauce, break up tomatoes & stir well.Bring to a boil, reduce to a gentle simmer, cover with a lid & cook for 1 hr (stirring occasionally)Add basil, salt & black pepper, cook for another 30 mins.Add, grated parmesan, taste to adjust seasoning, stir & cook till sauce reaches desired consistency.While bolognese sauce nearly done cooking, boil spaghetti in salted water according to instructions on packaging.Drain, add into bolognese sauce, stir then transfer onto serving plates.Place more sauce on top, serve with remaining basil & parmesan.
