Boil the red lentils and once they are cooked, add turmeric and salt before mixing well2. Set the lentils aside and in another pan, sauté the onion, garlic and ginger3. Once the onions turn translucent, add the turmeric, chilli powder and ground coriander4. Sauté until caramelised and then add it to the lentils5. Mix well and add fresh coriander6. Serve with rice7.
