Oporto is a fast-food restaurant chain that originated in Australia and specializes in Portuguese-style chicken burgers, as well as other Portuguese-influenced dishes such as wraps, salads, and sides. The company was founded in 1986 in North Bondi, Sydney, and has since expanded to have over 150 stores across Australia, New Zealand, and other countries. Oporto’s signature dish is the “Bondi Burger,” which features a flame-grilled chicken fillet, lettuce, tomato, cheese, mayo, and Oporto’s famous chili sauce, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun. The restaurant chain also offers a range of vegetarian and gluten-free options.

Ingredients

Marinade for chicken :1 kilo chicken breast sliced thinly1⁄4 cup white vinegar1⁄4 cup lemon juice1 tsp capsicum paste1 tsp tomato paste1 tsp garlic powder1 tsp onion powder1 tsp Portuguese seasoning1 tsp crushed ginger1 tsp crushed garlic1 tsp salt

Flour Seasoning

1 cup of flour1 tsp Portuguese seasoning1 tsp paprikasalt and pepper

Remaining Ingredients

burger buns of choice i just used @tiptop.bakeryprovolone cheese slices i got mine from an Italian deliiceberg lettuce shredded@kewpieusa mayooportos chilli sauce (you can buy it direct from oportos)vegetable oil for shallow frying

Method

In a bowl combine all chicken marinade ingredients and add to the sliced chicken breast mix and set aside in the fridge for 1 hour.In a bowl add flour and seasonings and coat the marinaded breast sliced and set aside.In a pan shallow fry chicken until golden take out and let it strain on a paper towel to avoid oil and soggy chicken.Once chicken is done its time to assemble the burger cut burger buns in half add the mayo on the bottom layer add the shredded lettuce add the chicken and the cheese ontop then add the oportos chilli sauce and thats it ! fry off some chips and serve next to the delicious burger.
