Add the chopped onions with all the seasoning.Cook until the onions are slightly browned (around 5 minutes). Add the garlic and cook for a minute until fragrant.Next, add the whole tomatoes, diced tomatoes and broth. Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.Once done, remove from heat, add the fresh basil and using a hand blender, blend until you get a smooth texture.Stir in the cream and serve right away with grilled cheese or croutons, more fresh basil, cream and cracked black pepper.
