Download ImageFish Tikka Ingredients400g Boneless fish cubes or fillets( i suggest using the freshest fish you can find I used hake for this recipe)3 tablespoon oil1 teaspoon mild kashmiri chilli powderHot Red chilli powder to taste1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder1 teaspoon Coriander powder1 teaspoon cumin powder1 teaspoon Qasuri methi1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste2 tablespoon thick yogurt2 teaspoons lemon juice1 tablespoon chick pea flour / chana flourOrange food colour as needed ( optional)Salt to tasteStepsHeat the oil until warmSwitch the heat off and while warm add the kashmiri and hot red chilli powder MixLeave aside to cool down completelyAdd the rest of the ingredients excluding the fish and mix wellAdd this marinate to the fish and leave in the fridge for an hourHeat 2 tablespoons of butter with 1 tablespoon oil in a large frying pan Add more butter if neededPan fry the fish on both sides until doneLeave asideHeat a small coal till red hotPlace a small piece of foil into the pan with the fishPlace the hot coal on the foil Add few drops of oil onto the coal until it starts smokingClose the pan lid immediatelyAllow the smoke to infuse into the fish for a minuteRemove the foil and coal Throw awayServe your fish hot with any salad you like and chutneyI served mine with a cabbage salad and a Coriander yogurt chutneyIf you want the salad and chutney recipe, drop me a commentEnjoy Source : www.instagram.com
