Zlabiah is a Middle Eastern sweet treat that is similar to donuts or fritters. It is made by mixing together flour, yeast, sugar, and water to form a dough, which is then allowed to rise before being deep-fried in oil. Once the zlabiah are golden brown and crispy, they are removed from the oil and typically soaked in a simple syrup made from sugar and water.

Some versions of zlabiah may also be flavored with spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, or saffron, and some may be filled with nuts, cheese, or cream. Zlabiah are a popular dessert or snack in many countries throughout the Middle East, and are often served during Ramadan or other special occasions.
