Download ImageChilli Paneer IngredientsFor the Paneer:225g paneer (diced)2 tbsp plain flour4 tbsp cornflour1/2 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp chilli powder1 tsp salt3 tbsp oilFor The Sauce:2 tbsp cooking oilHalf a red onion (cut into big chunks)Half a red pepper (cut into big chunks)Half a green pepper (cut into big chunks)2 small green chillies (cut lengthwise)2 spring onions1 and 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic1tbsp chopped ginger1tbsp sriracha sauce1tbsp honey2 tbsp dark soy sauce1 tbsp light soy sauce1 tbsp cornflour 2 tbsp water (solution)1/2 tbsp crushed black pepper1 tbsp lemon juiceA couple of drops of red food colouringWaterSalt to tasteMethod1. To prepare the paneer, mix together the flours and powders and add water to mixture until a thick and runny paste is formed. (You should be able to coat a single piece of paneer very easily.)2. Heat the oil in a pan and transfer the coated paneer individually to fry until golden brown. Once done, take them out and let drain on a paper towel.3. For the sauce, heat the oil in a wok and add the garlic, ginger and chillies until flagrant.4. In the same wok, add the onions and fry for a minute. Then add the peppers until they begin to soften slightly.5. Add the sriracha sauce, honey, soy sauces, black pepper, lemon juice and food colouring and stir fry until sauces are combined and pepper and onions are coated well.6. Add the solution of cornflour and water followed by some salt to taste. Keep stirring the mixture until it becomes thick and add the fried paneer. (Taste sauce and add extra soy sauce, honey or salt if required.)7. Sprinkle the chopped spring onion on top and serve immediately. Source : www.instagram.com
