Download ImageWatch Video Ingredients12 slices brioche bread – I used @walmart bakery vanilla briocheUnsalted Butter for frying (about 4 tablespoons or more, as needed)- you can also use the sprayFor the Custard :4 large eggs2 tablespoons granulated sugar1 1/2 cups half and half1 teaspoon cinnamon1 teaspoon vanilla extractTo Make the Banana Suzette :4 tablespoons unsalted butter1/2 cup packed brown sugar1/4 cup maple syrup1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)2 bananas, peeled and cut lengthwise.StepsIn a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, Half and Half, cinnamon and vanilla.Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.Dip the bread into the mix to coat both sides. Remove from the mix and set aside.Add 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter into the skillet.Place the bread in the pan and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes per side or until lightly golden.Remove the French toast from the skillet*Add more butter to the pan as needed and repeat with the remaining bread.To Make the Banana Suzette :Heat the butter in a saute pan over medium-high heat.Whisk in the brown sugar and maple syrup and cook for about 5 minutes or until all the sugar has melted and thickened slightly.Add the pecans and mix to combine. Add the banana slices and cook for about a minute.Remove the pan from the heat and add the vanilla .Return the pan to the heat and cook for about 3-4 minutes.Serve warm and enjoy!*to keep your French toast warm, place it in a pan in the oven on warm or low setting.
