Dahi Baray is a popular Pakistani snack made with lentil fritters that are soaked in a yogurt-based sauce and garnished with a variety of spices and chutneys. The dish is often enjoyed during Ramadan and other special occasions.

To make Dahi Baray, you will need lentils, baking soda, cumin seeds, salt, yogurt, water, tamarind chutney, green chutney, and chaat masala. Begin by soaking the lentils in water for a few hours or overnight. Drain the lentils and blend them with cumin seeds, salt, and baking soda until you get a smooth batter.

Heat oil in a deep pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry the fritters until they are golden brown and crispy, then remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Meanwhile, whisk together yogurt and water in a bowl until you get a smooth consistency. Dip the fried fritters into the yogurt mixture and let them soak for a few minutes.

To serve, place the soaked fritters on a plate and drizzle with tamarind chutney and green chutney. Sprinkle with chaat masala and garnish with fresh cilantro leaves.

Dahi Baray is a refreshing and flavorful snack that is perfect for hot summer days or as a starter for a Pakistani-themed meal.
