Osmalieh, also spelled as Osamali, is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made from shredded phyllo dough (kataifi) filled with sweet cream and topped with a fragrant sugar syrup. The phyllo dough is first baked or fried until crispy and then filled with a mixture of clotted cream, whipped cream or mascarpone cheese.

Finally, the dessert is drenched in a fragrant sugar syrup made from rose water, orange blossom water, and lemon juice, which gives it a distinct aroma and flavor. Osmalieh is typically served cold and garnished with chopped pistachios or other nuts. It is a popular dessert in Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, and other countries in the region.
