Download ImageWatch Video Meat Patties Ingredients1 large onion (finely diced)3 tbsp oil (divided)340 g ground beef & lamb mixture (ratio of 3:1)1/2 tsp salt1/4 tsp ground black pepper1/2 tsp nutmeg powder5 tbsp panko4 tbsp milk1 eggSauce1 tbsp butter3 tbsp ketchup3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce2 tbsp brown sugar3 tbsp grape juice or beef stock3 tbsp waterStepsHeat 2 tbsp oil in a large pan over medium heat, add onion, sauté until tender & translucent.Transfer to a large bowl & let it cool.Add the rest of the ingredients, mix with hands & knead mixture until it becomes sticky.Divide meat mixture into 4 equal portions, form into round shaped patties, cover & keep in the fridge for at least 30 mins before cooking.In a large pan, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium heat, place patties gently, cook until they brown on the bottom (abt 3 mins) flip over & cook for another 3 mins.Add 3 tbsp grape juice into the pan, reduce heat to low, cover & cook for 5-7 mins to thoroughly cook the inside (adjust cooking time depending on thickness)Uncover, increase heat to medium to let moisture evaporate & remove from heat.Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small pot, bring to a boil, lower heat & cook until it thickens or reaches desired consistency.To assemble, place patties on rice, drizzle a generous amount of sauce & serve with a side salad of choice plus miso soup (optional) Source : www.instagram.com
