{"id":9495,"date":"2022-05-12T13:50:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T05:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=9495"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:50:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:50:34","slug":"dahi-bhalley-barey-thebukharigirls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/dahi-bhalley-barey-thebukharigirls","title":{"rendered":"Dahi Bhalley \/ Barey"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Dahi Bhalley \/ Barey Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p><em><strong>For barey<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n* 1 cup maash dal (urad daal)<br \/>\n* 1\/2 cup moong dal<br \/>\n* 1\/2 inch ginger<br \/>\n* 1 tsp salt<br \/>\n* 1\/2 tsp cumin<br \/>\n* oil for frying<\/p>\n<h2>For Soaking<\/h2>\n<p>* 2 cup hot water<br \/>\n* 1\u20442 tsp salt<br \/>\nfor yogurt:<br \/>\n* 2 cup yogurt<br \/>\n* 2 tbsp sugar<br \/>\n* 1\u20442 tsp salt<br \/>\nfor serving:<br \/>\n* Tamarind sauce<br \/>\n* chilli flakes<br \/>\n* chaat masala<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>* Wash and soak lentils for 5 hours.<br \/>\n* After soaking drain the water and transfer lentils to the grinder along with cumin, ginger and salt.<br \/>\n* blend into smooth paste adding water as required. add minimal amount of water to prevent the batter from turning watery.<br \/>\n* mix well using the whisk for 10 minutes in one direction. Drop the tiny amount in water and if the batter floats it\u2019s ready. If it sinks whisk more.<br \/>\n* now with wet spoon or using hand, drop a spoonful of batter into the hot oil.<br \/>\n* keeping the flame on medium, fry until the bhalla turns golden brown and crisp.<br \/>\n* drain off the bhalla over kitchen paper to remove excess oil.<br \/>\n* in a large bowl take hot water and add 1\u20442 tsp salt<br \/>\n* drop the hot fried bhalla into the water and dip completely. soak for 10 minutes, or until the vada absorbs water.<br \/>\n* squeeze off the water and transfer to plate.<br \/>\n* Whisk yogurt, sugar and salt together.<br \/>\n* For plating place bhalla first and pour some yogurt on top.
