{"id":8898,"date":"2022-05-08T11:55:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-08T03:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=8898"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:51:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:51:25","slug":"saffron-naan-kathai-the_kitchen_girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/saffron-naan-kathai-the_kitchen_girl","title":{"rendered":"Saffron Naan Kathai"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Saffron Naan Kathai Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>2 c plain flour<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp saffron @spicespot<br \/>\n1 tbs semolina<br \/>\n1 tbs chana flour<br \/>\n1 tbs corn starch<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp bicarb soda<br \/>\n2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n125g soft butter<br \/>\n3\/4 c castor sugar<br \/>\n1\/4 c icing sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 c oil<br \/>\nYellow food colour<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp ground cardamon<br \/>\nSlithered Pistachios<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Beat both the sugars with butter till combined.<br \/>\nAdd in the soda, baking powder, cardamom powder, saffron, samolina, chana flour, corn starch, food colour &amp; oil. Beat till light n fluffy.<br \/>\nAdd in the flour n mix well with a spoon.<br \/>\nYour dough should be very soft but not sticky. If its sticky add 1 tbs flour and check, add another tbs if needed.<br \/>\nDivide the dough into 32 (divide into 4, then 8 each).<br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 180c ( bottom heat only).<br \/>\nRoll into balls.<br \/>\nPlace on a lined baking tray.<br \/>\nPlace each ball 1.5 inches apart as they expand n spread when baking.<br \/>\nPlace Pistachios in a little milk just to moisten. Place a little onto each ball lightly &amp; bake.<br \/>\nAfter about 10min or earlier, you will notice the cracks appearing. Switch the heat immediately to 130c n bake for a further 5 min.<br \/>\nYou want to watch them carefully as they brown quickly once cracks appear.<br \/>\nEvery oven is different. You might have to keep them in longer or less.<br \/>\nYou want them just slight light brown at the bottom. Do not brown the top.<br \/>\nRemove from the oven.<br \/>\nDo not handle while hot.<br \/>\nThey harden while they cool.<br \/>\nAllow to cool completely.<br \/>\nHeat your oven again to 100c.
