{"id":8496,"date":"2022-04-29T12:34:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-29T04:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=8496"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:52:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:52:40","slug":"fried-atayef-pancakes-stuffed-with-walnuts-mouracooks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/fried-atayef-pancakes-stuffed-with-walnuts-mouracooks","title":{"rendered":"Fried Atayef (Pancakes Stuffed With Walnuts)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Fried Atayef Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p><em><strong>For the pancake batter:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n2 cups flour<br \/>\n2 1\/4 cups lukewarm water<br \/>\n1 tsp yeast<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1 tbsp sugar<br \/>\npinch of salt<br \/>\n<em><strong>For the filling:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups raw unsalted walnuts, chopped<br \/>\n1\/4 cup golden raisins (optional)<br \/>\n2 tbsp sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp ground cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp nutmeg<br \/>\n1 tsp orange blossom water<br \/>\n<em><strong>For the syrup:<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n2 cups sugar<br \/>\n1 cup water<br \/>\n1 tbsp lemon juice<br \/>\n1 tsp orange blossom water<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp rose water<\/p>\n<h2>Steps Making Syrup<\/h2>\n<p>Mix Sugar, Water &amp; Lemon Juice In Saucepan On Med\/high Heat And Bring To A Boil.<br \/>\nReduce Heat And Simmer For 10 Minutes.<br \/>\nAdd Orange Blossom &amp;Amp;amp; Rose Water And Boil For An Additional 2 Minutes.<br \/>\nRemove From Heat And Allow Syrup To Cool Down Completely Before Using. Store Syrup At Room Temperature.<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>In a bowl add all the pancake ingredients listed and whisk together until well combined.<br \/>\nCover with a towel and let the mixture sit for 15-20 minutes.<br \/>\nIn a separate bowl add the filling ingredients and mix until all combined and set aside.<br \/>\nHeat a non-stick pan on medium heat.<br \/>\nUsing a measuring cup so they are all the same size, scoop and pour 1\/4 cup of batter and cook until the bottom is a light golden colour and the batter is no longer wet (do not flip them).<br \/>\nTransfer the pancakes to a towel and cover them so they don\u2019t dry out. Repeat until all of the batter is finished.<br \/>\nWith the bubbly side facing up, fill each pancake with 1 tbsp of the filling.<br \/>\nFold the pancake in half and pinch with your fingertips to seal.<br \/>\nOn med-low heat, fry the stuffed atayef for a few minutes on each side until they are golden brown.<br \/>\nRemove and soak them in the simple syrup for a few seconds or simply drizzle them with the syrup.
