{"id":7720,"date":"2022-04-19T13:48:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T05:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=7720"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:54:50","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:54:50","slug":"better-than-takeout-mongolian-chicken-kristelskitchenblog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/better-than-takeout-mongolian-chicken-kristelskitchenblog","title":{"rendered":"Better-than-takeout Mongolian Chicken"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Better-than-takeout Mongolian Chicken Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>600g chicken cubed<br \/>\n3 tbsp avocado oil (or vegetable oil)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup cornstarch 2tsp<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves minced<br \/>\n1 tsp ginger minced<br \/>\n1\/2 cup soy sauce<br \/>\n1\/3 cup water<br \/>\n1\/4 cup brown sugar<br \/>\nSliced vegetables (green onions, peppers, carrots, broccoli\u2026)<br \/>\nSalt and pepper<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Place the cubed chicken in a bowl and add 1\/4 cup cornstarch, tossing them to completely coat.<br \/>\nHeat oil on medium high and cook the chicken in one layer a few minutes on each side until golden (don\u2019t overcrowd the pan, cook in batches if necessary).<br \/>\nSeason them with salt and pepper.<br \/>\nOnce done, place the cooked chicken on a kitchen towel on a separate plate.<br \/>\nIn the same pan, add a bit of oil and cook the vegetables just until tender.<br \/>\nAdd garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds.<br \/>\nStir in soy sauce, water and brown sugar.<br \/>\nMix 2 tsp of cornstarch with 1 tbsp cold water and add them to the pan.<br \/>\nBring to a simmer until the sauce starts to thicken.<br \/>\nAdd in the chicken and green onions if using and stir to coat with sauce.
