{"id":6082,"date":"2022-04-13T12:24:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T04:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=6082"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:56:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:56:14","slug":"red-lentil-mjaddara-kristelskitchenblog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/red-lentil-mjaddara-kristelskitchenblog","title":{"rendered":"Red Lentil Mjaddara"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Red Lentil Mjaddara Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>1 cup red lentils<br \/>\n1\/2 cup quinoa (or rice, or bulgur)<br \/>\n1 onion diced<br \/>\n2 tbsp olive oil separated<br \/>\n2 garlic cloves minced<br \/>\nSprinkles of ground cumin, paprika<br \/>\nSalt and pepper<br \/>\nFor garnish: greek yogurt, parsley and chives<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pot on medium heat, cook the garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.<br \/>\nAdd the quinoa, red lentils and cumin and give them a stir.<br \/>\nAdd 3 cups of water, salt and pepper.<br \/>\nBring to a boil and let simmer on low heat 15-20 minutes or until the quinoa is cooked.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a separate pan and cook the onions until golden.<br \/>\nAdd paprika and salt and toss to coat completely.<br \/>\nOnce the lentil mix is done, add the onions and taste to adjust seasoning.<br \/>\nAdd the toppings and sprinkle more paprika on top and serve warm. Enjoy!<br \/>\n<strong>Optional:<\/strong> when the lentil mix is done cooking, give it a quick blend with an immersion blender to get a smoother texture.
