{"id":5334,"date":"2022-04-01T15:43:00","date_gmt":"2022-04-01T07:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=5334"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:58:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:58:32","slug":"potato-latkes-wondernonieskitchen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/potato-latkes-wondernonieskitchen","title":{"rendered":"Potato Latkes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Potato Latkes Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>1 kg russet potatoes<br \/>\n1 large onion<br \/>\n2 large eggs<br \/>\n5 tbsp fine panko or regular bread crumbs<br \/>\n2 tsp salt<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper<br \/>\noil (for frying)<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Peel &amp; grate potatoes &amp; onion (using a box grater or food processor), transfer to a large bowl.<br \/>\nTransfer mixture to a clean dishtowel, squeeze &amp; wring out as much of the liquid as possible.<br \/>\nWorking quickly, transfer mixture back into the bowl, add eggs, salt &amp; pepper plus panko &amp; toss until just combined.<br \/>\nTo shape, place 2 tbsp of potato mixture onto palm, gently forming &amp; pressing into a disc, 2 cm thick &amp; 10 cm in diameter.<br \/>\nRepeat with remaining potatoes.<br \/>\nIn a deep heavy bottom pan on medium high heat, add oil.<br \/>\nOnce oil is hot, add latkes one at a time (don\u2019t let them touch or get too crowded)<br \/>\nFry for 3 mins, flip &amp; continue frying the other side until it turns golden brown &amp; crispy at the edges.<br \/>\nPlace on a wire rack to drain excess oil &amp; season with a pinch of salt immediately.<br \/>\nTo serve, place latkes onto serving plates, top with sour cream (or yoghurt) plus applesauce (how they are traditionally served) &amp; chopped fresh herbs of choice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Potato Latkes Ingredients 1 kg russet potatoes 1 large onion 2 large eggs 5 tbsp fine panko or regular bread crumbs 2 tsp salt 1\/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper oil (for frying) Steps Peel &amp; grate potatoes &amp; onion (using a box grater or food processor), transfer to a large bowl.
