{"id":4912,"date":"2022-03-26T06:50:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-25T22:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=4912"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:59:48","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:59:48","slug":"potato-dauphinois-kristelskitchenblog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/potato-dauphinois-kristelskitchenblog","title":{"rendered":"Potato Dauphinois"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>Around 750g potatoes<br \/>\n1 cup heavy cream<br \/>\n1\/2 cup milk<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp nutmeg<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp black pepper<br \/>\n1 tsp salt<br \/>\n1 tbsp butter<br \/>\n1 garlic clove cut in half<br \/>\n1\/2 cup grated Gruy\u00e8re cheese<br \/>\nOptional: 1 tsp fresh thyme (or any herb, dried or fresh, of your choice)<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Using a sharp chef\u2019s knife, slice the potatoes equally in thin slices.<br \/>\nIn a pot on medium heat, place the milk, heavy cream, nutmeg, salt, pepper and the thyme if using.<br \/>\nBring to a simmer then mix in the potatoes. Cover and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender and can be easily pricked with a fork.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, rub a baking dish with the cut half of the garlic and brush with 1\/2 tbsp butter.<br \/>\nOnce the potatoes are done, place them with the milk evenly in the baking dish and top with pieces of the remaining butter.<br \/>\nCover with foil and cut a hole in the middle for the steam to escape. Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven on 180C.<br \/>\nRemove the foil and top with the cheese then bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese turns golden.<br \/>\nLet cool 10 minutes before serving.
