(If not available you can substitute it with 1\u00a0\u00a0tbsp of cornstarch for each cup of milk)<br \/>\n1\/2 \u00a0tsp of Ziyad cardamom powder<br \/>\n3 \u00a0strands of saffron<br \/>\n<em><strong>For topping<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nZiyad medjool dates (halved)<br \/>\nShredded coconut<br \/>\nCrushed or slivered pistachios<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>Preheat your oven to 350\u00a0\u00a0F<br \/>\nThen, start cutting your kataifi dough. (This step is easier when done while the dough is still frozen)<br \/>\nThen, pour the melted butter or ghee on the dough and mix it well between your hands to allow\u00a0\u00a0the dough absorb all the butter.<br \/>\nNow place the dough in the a tart pan or the desired oven safe pan. Pack the dough tightly on the pan making sure there is no gaps and form a 1\/2 inch thick base.<br \/>\nBake your kunafa tart base for 30 mins or until golden brown.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, prepare your custard.<br \/>\nMix the milk, custard, sugar, cardamom, and saffron until everything is combined. Now cook on medium high heat and stir continuously until the custard thickens (don\u2019t allow the custard to thicken too much)<br \/>\nStrain(optional) and set aside.<br \/>\nPour your custard on top of your cooked Kunafa tart base.
