You can skip this out if you like.<br \/>\nI just love the orange look to it.<br \/>\nDivide 2\/3 of the mixture into a 12 hole cupcake pan.<br \/>\nPress down firmly and towards the sides like a tart.<br \/>\nLeave aside.<br \/>\nPrepare the Ashta filling now.<\/p>\n<h2>Ashta Cream Filling<\/h2>\n<p>1 cup full cream milk<br \/>\n2 cups fresh cream<br \/>\n3 tablespoons corn starch<br \/>\n2 tablespoons sugar<\/p>\n<h2>Ste[s<\/h2>\n<p>Mix everything and bring to the heat<br \/>\nSimmer until thick.<br \/>\nThe thickness should resemble boxed custard.<\/p>\n<h2>Finishing<\/h2>\n<p>Pour the hot ashta filling into the prepared pastry in the cupcake pan till the top.<br \/>\nTop equally with the remaining 1\/3 of the pastry mixture.<br \/>\nBake 180c for 30 minutes or until golden.<br \/>\nPour the syrup equally over the hot knafeh.<br \/>\nAllow to cool completely.<br \/>\nRemove from the pan and serve .<br \/>\nTop with ground pistachio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients For Syrup 1 cup sugar 1\/2 cup water 1\/4 teaspoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon water-based rose essence or orange blossom water (Use less essence if it&#8217;s an oil based one).
