{"id":24885,"date":"2023-07-31T12:20:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T04:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=24885"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:26:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:26:45","slug":"beef-stew-ataleofsauceandspice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/beef-stew-ataleofsauceandspice","title":{"rendered":"Beef Stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>2 tablespoons olive oil<br \/>\n200g stew beef<br \/>\n1\u20442 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n2 tablespoons oil<br \/>\n1 onion chopped<br \/>\n1 large carrot<br \/>\nFew celery stalks<br \/>\n2 tablespoons butter<br \/>\n5-6 mushrooms sliced<br \/>\n2 tablespoons all-purpose flour<br \/>\n1 litre hot water\/beef stock<br \/>\n2 knorrox beef stock cubes<br \/>\n3-4 baby potatoes halved<br \/>\n1 teaspoon paprika<br \/>\n1\u20442 teaspoon ground cumin<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<br \/>\nCoriander for garnish<\/p>\n<h2>Instructions<\/h2>\n<p>Heat oil in a pot.<br \/>\nAdd the stew beef chunks with some salt and cook until browned (no need to cook it completely).<br \/>\nRemove the browned beef in a bowl.<br \/>\nIn the same pot, heat some oil and braise the chopped onion untill soft.<br \/>\nAdd in the carrots pieces and celery.<br \/>\nCook for 3-4 minutes, then transfer all this onion and carrot mixture to the same bowl with the beef.<br \/>\nIn the same pot, heat the butter and cook the sliced mushrooms until soft.<br \/>\nAdd in all-purpose flour and braise for 3 minutes.<br \/>\nNow add all of the beef and carrot mixture back to the pot along with the beef stock, spices and potatoes.<br \/>\nFor the beef stock, dissolve 2 knorrox beef stock cubes in hot water.<br \/>\nCover the pot and let it simmer until the beef is cooked through and the stew is slightly thick.
