Mix using a rubber spatula till combined. Knead with your hands just till the dough comes together. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.<br \/>\nAfter 15 minutes, transfer the dough to a clean work surface. Stretch it out add the softened butter then knead it by bringing the sides of the dough together.<br \/>\nStretch and knead till the dough comes together. Till its nice and elastic. (Do not use dry flour) cover and let it double in size for about an hour.<br \/>\nPrepare a big tray lined with small pieces of parchment paper.<br \/>\nDevide the dough in to equal portions then shape as desired. (I shaped in to balls then in to an oblong shape).<br \/>\nPlace each shaped donut on a parchment paper keep them apart. Shape the remaining dough.<br \/>\nCover and let it proof for 10-15 minutes. Heat oil on medium to low heat.<br \/>\nTil it reaches 180C maintain a low heat and carefully drop each donut without touching them to avoid knocking down any air.<br \/>\nLet it fry on low heat till golden. Flip and fry till golden on the other side.<br \/>\nRemove on a wired rack. Cool then dip in sugar if desired or slit in half then fill with whipped cream. Enjoy.<\/p>\n<h2>Note<\/h2>\n<p>Make sure to proof the donuts after shaping them. And be very careful not to deflate them when dropping in to the oil.
