{"id":21791,"date":"2023-04-26T10:03:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-26T02:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=21791"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:31:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:31:40","slug":"cottage-pie-ataleofsauceandspice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/cottage-pie-ataleofsauceandspice","title":{"rendered":"Cottage Pie"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>400g chicken mince<br \/>\n2 tablespoons oil<br \/>\n1 onion chopped<br \/>\n2 heaped teaspoons ginger paste<br \/>\n1 heaped tablespoon garlic paste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground green chillies<br \/>\n1 teaspoon red chilli powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground cumin powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon ground coriander powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon chicken spice<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<br \/>\n2 medium tomatoes liquidised<br \/>\n1 cup simple white sauce<br \/>\n11\u20442 cups plain boiled spaghetti<br \/>\n2 cups grated cheese<br \/>\n3 large potatoes mashed<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>Peel boil and mash potatoes season with salt and pepper and set aside. You may add little milk to soften the mash a bit. Set aside.<br \/>\nHeat oil and cook chopped onion till soft and slightly golden brown. Add the mince and cook while breaking up the mince into small pieces with a wooden spoon. Once all broken down add ginger garlic and green chillies. Braise for a minute then add the remaining spices and cook till chicken is tender. Add the liquidised tomatoes and cook on low heat till it reaches a thick consistency. Stir in between to avoid burning. Once done start layering.<br \/>\nIn a Pyrex dish layer some white sauce followed by spaghetti, saucy mince mixture, the remaining white sauce and cheese. Finish off with a layer of mashed potatoes. Bake before serving on 180C for 30 minutes or till the sides are bubbling and done. Let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
