{"id":15747,"date":"2022-11-16T07:11:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T23:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=15747"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:38:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:38:08","slug":"apple-pie-french-toast-nanos_kitchen1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/apple-pie-french-toast-nanos_kitchen1","title":{"rendered":"Apple Pie French Toast"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>8 slices of bread, Texas toast Or brioche<br \/>\n4 large eggs<br \/>\n1\/4 cup of half and half or whole milk<br \/>\n1 tsp vanilla<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp nutmeg<br \/>\n2 cups of crushed graham crackers @honeymaidsnacks<br \/>\n3 tbsp of cinnamon sugar (you can use ready made apple pie spice)<br \/>\nButter as needed to cook the toast<\/p>\n<h2>For The Apple Pie Filling<\/h2>\n<p>4 cups apples peeled and thinly sliced, I used Granny Smith<br \/>\n2 teaspoons lemon juice<br \/>\n3 cups water<br \/>\n1\/2 cup brown sugar packed<br \/>\n1\/2 cup granulated sugar<br \/>\n1\/3 cup cornstarch<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon cinnamon<br \/>\n1\/8 teaspoon nutmeg<br \/>\n1 tablespoon butter<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Heat a skillet or a non-stick pan over medium heat.<br \/>\nIn a bowl, whisk the eggs, half and half, vanilla, and nutmeg together.<br \/>\nDip one piece of the bread into the egg mixture first, and then into the graham cracker crumbs making sure the it sticks onto the bread by pressing with your hands. Coat both sides of the bread with both the egg mixture and crackers<br \/>\nPlace the bread on buttered griddle, and cook until each side starts to turn golden brown, about 3 minutes on each side.<br \/>\nWhile the toast is cooking, prepare your apple pie filling<br \/>\nDrizzle the lemon juice over the apple slices.<br \/>\nPlace the water, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large pan.<br \/>\nBring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.<br \/>\nBring the mixture to a boil and cook for 1 minute or until just thickened.<br \/>\nAdd the apples to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce.
