{"id":13680,"date":"2022-10-06T10:27:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-06T02:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=13680"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:41:54","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:41:54","slug":"lentil-pumpkin-soup-normasfooddiary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/lentil-pumpkin-soup-normasfooddiary","title":{"rendered":"Lentil &#038; Pumpkin Soup"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Lentil &amp; Pumpkin Soup Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>11\u20442 Cups red lentils, washed<br \/>\n1\u20442 buttenut pumpkin, cut into cubes<br \/>\n1 onion, diced<br \/>\n1\u20444 cup medium grain rice (do not wash)<br \/>\n2 chicken stock cubes<br \/>\n1 heaped teaspoon vegeta<br \/>\n1\u20442 teaspoon cumin<br \/>\nSalt &amp; Cracked pepper to taste<br \/>\nTablespoon ghee<br \/>\nBoiling water to fill pot<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>In a large pot add ghee and saute your onions for a few minutes till soft.<br \/>\nAdd all the rest of the ingredients, season to taste with salt towards the end.<br \/>\nBring to a boil and you will need to keep an eye on it at the beginning as it will froth up and you will need to skim the top to avoid it overflowing.<br \/>\nOnce you have removed the froth bring to a medium boil and cook for approx 40-45mins. You may need to add more water during the course of the cooking time.<br \/>\nBlend using a heatproof blender or stick blender. Season to taste.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve also made a cumin oil, in a small frypan toast some pepitas in olive oil add a dash of cumin, paprika and chilli and cook for a minute or so.
