{"id":13472,"date":"2022-10-01T08:10:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-01T00:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=13472"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:42:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:42:34","slug":"dal-chawal-katz__kitchen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/dal-chawal-katz__kitchen","title":{"rendered":"Dal Chawal"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Dal Chawal Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>2 cups of red lentils<br \/>\n3 cups of hot water<br \/>\n1 medium sized onion, diced<br \/>\n2 tbsp of ginger, diced<br \/>\n4 red chillies, chopped<br \/>\n12 curry leaves<br \/>\n1 tsp of mustard seeds<br \/>\n1 tsp of turmeric<br \/>\n1 tsp of chilli powder<br \/>\n1 cup of cherry tomatoes, sliced in half<br \/>\nsalt, to taste<br \/>\n2 cups of hot water<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>1. Wash the lentils until the water runs clear and soak them in water for about 30 minutes<br \/>\n2. Add the lentils to a saucepan and add 3 cups of hot water before bringing them to a boil<br \/>\n3. Once the lentils are soft, set aside<br \/>\n4. In another pan, saute\u0301 the onion, ginger and chillies<br \/>\n5. Add the curry leaves and mustard seeds<br \/>\n6. Once the onions start turning translucent, add turmeric and chilli powder<br \/>\n7. Add the cherry tomatoes<br \/>\n8. Pour in the boiled lentils<br \/>\n9. Add salt to taste and add another 2 cups of hot water<br \/>\n10. Let the dal simmer on low heat for around 5-10 minutes<br \/>\n11.
