{"id":13470,"date":"2022-10-01T07:50:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-30T23:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=13470"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:42:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:42:34","slug":"satay-chicken-skewers-normasfooddiary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/satay-chicken-skewers-normasfooddiary","title":{"rendered":"Satay Chicken Skewers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Satay Chicken Skewers Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p><em><strong>For the chicken Marinate<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n1 kg chicken thigh fillets, cut into small pieces<br \/>\n2 tablespoons olive oil<br \/>\n2 teaspoons fresh garlic finely minced or paste<br \/>\n2 teaspoons ginger paste<br \/>\n2 tablespoons soy sauce<br \/>\n1 teaspoons curry powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon turmeric<br \/>\n2 teaspoons coriander powder<br \/>\n1\/4 cup coconut milk (buy a 400ml can you will need the rest for the sauce below)<br \/>\nApprox 1 tspn salt or to taste<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon black pepper<br \/>\n2 teaspoons brown sugar sugar<br \/>\n<em><strong>For the the thai peanut sauce<\/strong><\/em><br \/>\nLeftover Coconut milk from the 400ml can<br \/>\n1 tbsp red curry paste (more or less depends how Spicy you want it)<br \/>\n3\/4 cup natural peanut butter, smooth<br \/>\n1\/4 cup white sugar<br \/>\n2 tsp dark soy sauce<br \/>\n1 tsp salt<br \/>\n2 tbsp apple cider vinegar<br \/>\n3\/4 cup water<\/p>\n<h2>Steps<\/h2>\n<p>Marinate the chicken in the Marinate ingredients and refrigerate for 30mins, place Skewers in water for 30mins also to prevent them from burning, then skewer the chicken.<br \/>\nPlace remaining coconut milk and Peanut Sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium low heat. Stir to combine then simmer, stirring every now and then, for 5 minutes.<br \/>\nAdjust consistency with water &#8211; it should be a pourable but thickish sauce. Cover with lid and keep warm while cooking skewers.<br \/>\nHeat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.<br \/>\nOnce it&#8217;s hot, add a drizzle of oil to the pan then bring the heat to med\/low.<br \/>\nAdd the chicken in, making sure not to crowd them.
