{"id":13322,"date":"2022-09-28T09:44:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-28T01:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=13322"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:43:03","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:43:03","slug":"lebanese-chicken-spiced-rice-normasfooddiary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/lebanese-chicken-spiced-rice-normasfooddiary","title":{"rendered":"Lebanese Chicken Spiced Rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Lebanese Chicken Spiced Rice Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>500g chicken breast or Tenderloins<br \/>\nDash of Cinnamon for Chicken<br \/>\n1 tablespoon Ghee<br \/>\n500g mince<br \/>\n1\u20444 cup Vegetable oil<br \/>\n31\u20444 cups boiling Water<br \/>\n2 cups medium grain rice, washed thoroughly<br \/>\n21\u20442 heaped teaspoons Lebanese mixed spice (baharat)<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\nWhite ground pepper &amp; black ground pepper (approx 1\u20444 teaspoon each)<br \/>\nToasted almonds and pine nuts<br \/>\nchopped parsley (garnish)<\/p>\n<h2>Method<\/h2>\n<p>Clean chicken, if large pieces cut in half or score the flesh. Rub cinnamon, salt &amp; pepper into the chicken.<br \/>\nIn a large pot add 1 tbsp ghee and cook the chicken on both sides till cooked through, remove from heat set aside and shred when cool to touch.<br \/>\nAdd mince in the same pot and cook till brown and the fat evaporates, once all water\/fat evaporates add washed rice, shredded chicken, boiling water, vegetable oil, baharat, salt (approx 2 tspn), black and white pepper and mix, taste the stock to see if it needs more salt etc then once it comes to a boil lower heat to very low and put lid on.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve never timed it but once the rice is cooked I turn off the heat and let steam for a further 5 mins then I place in a bowl or as pictured I used a cake tin then scatter toasted nuts, parsley and pomegranate if you have.<br \/>\nServe with salad of choice and yogurt.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m not the best at typing up recipes especially when most dishes I don&#8217;t measure so these measurements are rough so please go with your gut and own taste buds.
