Place beef in a big pot with cold water and bring to a boil for about 3-5 minutes, skim out the impurities. Take the meat out in a bowl and discard the water<br \/>\n2. Rinse out the beef with cold water, clean the pot and put cold water and the cleaned beef back in<br \/>\n3. Slowly bring the water to a boil and skim out any foam\/impurities on the top<br \/>\n4. Add ginger, scallions, garlic and a piece of kelp(optional)<br \/>\n5. Turn down the heat to medium once it starts boiling, simmer for 1.5 &#8211; 2 hours until the beef is tender to your liking. Add radish in the last 30 minutes of cooking<br \/>\n6. Discard scallions, ginger and garlic once the beef is tender<br \/>\n7.
