{"id":10167,"date":"2022-05-25T12:19:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T04:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/?p=10167"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:48:01","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T12:48:01","slug":"pickled-pears-anexplorerskitchen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/resepmamiku.com\/en\/pickled-pears-anexplorerskitchen","title":{"rendered":"Pickled Pears"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Pickled Pears Ingredients<\/h2>\n<p>4 slightly unripe, firm Bartlett pears<br \/>\n3 1\u20442 cups apple cider vinegar<br \/>\n4 cups cane sugar<br \/>\n1 Tbs whole allspice berries<br \/>\n10 cloves<br \/>\n1 tsp whole peppercorns<br \/>\n3 bay leaves<br \/>\n3 cinnamon sticks<br \/>\n1\u20442 tsp ground ginger<br \/>\ngrated peel of 1 orange<br \/>\n1 small slice of a raw beet<\/p>\n<h2>Directions<\/h2>\n<p>1. Bring all ingredients except pears to a simmer in a meidium saucepan.<br \/>\n2. Peel pears. Slice pears in half lengthwise and then the slice the halves lengthwise into 3 slices each making a total of 6 slices from each pear.<br \/>\n3. Once the liquid and spices are simmering and the sugar is dissolved, add pears.<br \/>\n4. Keep the pears on the stovetop in the pickling liquid for about 10 minutes, return to a simmer until the pears are slightly soft.<br \/>\n5. Remove pears with a slotted spoon and place in a warm jar. We used old spaghetti sauce glass jars that we sterilized in the dishwasher and then brought back to a warm temperature by microwaving for 30 seconds.<br \/>\n5. Once the liquid has cooled to just a slightly warm temperature, pour it over the pears in the jar, place the top on and refrigerate.
